Painting of Oyster Bay on 4th of July morning. The American Flag waves over the anchored boats and still water as the morning sun casts an orange glow on the landscape. Anyone from Long Island knows, 4th of July is always one of the hottest days of the year, this year was no exception. The humidity reduces visibility making Centre Island and Bayville, across the water, seem much lighter. Theodore Roosevelt park will soon be filled with visitors looking to catch fireworks later on in the night. But for now, Oyster Bay remains peaceful. Originally painted in 2013.
